How is the pipeline evolving over time? This chart answers this question, by visualizing the stages of opportunities over the past months. This enables you to see trends or deviations which should have the attention of the sales team.
The left of this chart side shows the different stages of the opportunities. The right side shows the opportunities which were lost or won. Both are displayed along a vertical timeline. The scale of this timeline can be displayed in days, weeks or months.
By default, this charts shows quantities, but it’s also possible to show the pipeline progression based on (recurring) revenue.
There are two different ways to calculate the number of opportunities and the total revenue value of the sales pipeline progression.
- Averages: VOGSY calculates the average number of opportunities and total revenue value, based on the number of days the opportunity was in during the month or week. This gives a weighted view on the progression within each stage.
- End of period: The number of opportunities and revenue value is determined by the last day of the month or week.
Which method should be used can be configured in function ‘Charts’. By default, the average number of opportunities and the average revenues during the week or month are displayed
You can tap on the bars to show more detailed information per opportunity stage. Tapping on a stage shows the opportunities which were in that stage at that time. A minor detail is that in this list the actual revenue is shown, which can be slightly different then it was at the moment of the selected day/week/month.
