Each user in VOGSY has one or more roles. Depending on your role, you are restricted to edit information in VOGSY. The roles for employees can be edited in the back office. This allows you to manage editing and approval rights of information in VOGSY. In order to promote transparency, there are no restrictions for employees on viewing information in VOGSY. VOGSY distinguishes five roles for employees:
The professional is the one that performs work that is directly billed to the customer. For example consultants, developers or engineers. Professionals cannot create projects and can only edit an opportunity or project if they are part of its team. They have no access to the back office.
- Account Manager
Responsible for getting customers. Account managers can create new opportunities and projects and can edit other opportunities. They can generate and approve quotes. They can only edit projects if they are part of the team. Account managers have no access to the back office.
- Project Manager
Projects Managers are responsible for setting up, staffing and successfully completing projects. They can edit and create projects, also from others, and they can approve draft invoices, purchase invoices and working hours.
The managers are responsible for running your company. They can view and edit all organizations, opportunities, and projects.
- Support staff
Support staff performs administrative tasks in the back office of your company. That is why they have full editing and back office rights. They cannot approve quotes, invoices or working hours.
Skills of employees allow you to filter them, for example when you are staffing a project or need a replacement in the resource planning (see screenshot below).
Skill levels do not influence editing rights within VOGSY.
The following skill levels are standard in VOGSY, but you can change them in the back office under Master Tables.
